Key Feature:

-Lightweight: Lower density than steel orglass fiber (~1.44 g/cm°).
-High Tensile Strength: Comparable to steel (2,500-3,600 MPa).
-Flame Resistance: Self-extinguishing; doesnot melt or drip,
-Thermal Stability: Retains strength attemperatures up to 400-500°C(varies bytype).
-Chemical Resistance:Resistant tosolvents, fuels, and abrasion.

Application:

Para-aramid (Kevlar-type):
-Ballistic Protection: Bulletproof vests, helmets, vehicle armor.
-Cut Resistance:Industrial aloves,chainsawchaps.
-Aerospace:Reinforcement for aircraftpanels and rotor blades.

Meta-aramid (Nomex-type):
-Firefighting Gear: Heat-resistant suits hoods, and gloves.
-Electrical Insulation: Transformer components, circuit boards.

Aramid/Kevlar fiber fabric

Aramid fabric is a textile material woven fromaramid fibers, a class of synthetic polymersknown for their exceptional strength, heatresistance, and durability. The termaramid" is derived from *aromaticpolyamide* referring to its molecularstructure of rigid aromatic (benzene ring)groups linked by amide bonds.

Advantage: Firstly, corrosion resistance, long life.

Secondly, high strength, low density. The strength of the prepreg can reach 6-12 times that of steel, and the density is only one-fourth of that of steel.

Thirdly, good plasticity. The prepreg can be made into any shape according to the mold shape, which is easy to form and easy to process.
